What this role entails
To provide developmental biological knowledge to aid in increasing protein yield from multiple different cell lines; as well as improving differentiation efficiency. In addition to cell and media work you will be responsible for conducting a range of molecular biology techniques working with colleagues from across a range of disciplines. Contribute positively to the company culture and community.

Objectives

Perform cell proliferation and differentiation studies using a range of cell lines and material scaffolds to direct bioreactor design requirements.

Improve and develop solutions for maximising protein yield in bioreactors

Utilising analytical methods to assess biological functions within cell culture systems e.g. metabolism, immunocytochemistry, RNA extraction, reverse transcription, qPCR, protein isolation, Western blot.

Use developmental biological knowledge to improve differentiation protocols of different cell types and species.

Growing cells in different conditions for growth kinetics optimisation e.g. media development.

Perform bioreactor runs, growing and monitoring our cells in our novel bioreactors.

Selection Criteria
1) Experience
Biological Degree
2) Delivering for an organisation
Worked in mammalian cell culture with a strong developmental biological knowledge.
3) Team working
Demonstrable ability to work with a diverse range of people, working towards a common goal in a multi-disciplinary environment. 
4) Expertise
Essential:

Biological degree

Experienced at cell culture
Desirable:
-
Experienced in analytical techniques (PCR, Western, ICC)

Experience using bioreactors.

Knowledge of the cultivated meat industry
